TASTING NOTES
Overeem Distillery – Single Malt Sherry Cask Matured Whisky. 43% ABV
A heavily charred and toasted oak casks, left to develop in a cool environment. Pristine water from the slopes of Mt Wellington. Golden, bold and robust, complex and viscous. Aromas buttery notes, opening to malty and vanilla spice and fruit cake. Soft enticing, flavours of sweet spice, cinnamon, stewed dark fruits, burnt toffee, maple syrup, caramel, shaved almonds and fruit cake and finishing long with the same, smooth spices. Non chill-filtered, so may have a slight haze. 43% ABV
Spring Bay Distillery – Single Malt, Sherry Cask Matured. 46% ABV
A palate of floral notes, caramel and dried fruit with hints of white pepper at the finish then a deliciously long and slightly dry finish which is indicative of some very fine old wood. A slightly smoky note that suggests peat but it comes from the heavy cask charing. 46% ABV
Loch Brewery & Distillery – Single Malt Whisky #22, Pale Malt, Sherry Cask Matured Whisky. 45% ABV
With a pale malt profile aged in European oak, ex-Pedro Ximénez cask. A truly approachable single malt that begins with aromas of biscotti, wild honey and dark chocolate. Add a good sherry feel with baking spices, dried fruits (prunes, apricots) and nutty malt carrying a mildly tannic finish. 45% ABV
