In celebration of World Gin Day, Gintonica and Dan Murphy’s have collaborated to produce two Australian Craft Gin tasting packs of four gins each. They represent gin styles from across Australia and showcases our world beating gins, most of which have won coveted awards. They are all gin perfectly suited for serving as a classic G&T with your preferred tonic and a touch of lemon.

Blue Pack

The “blue pack” comprises McHenry Classic Gin and West Winds Sabre, demonstrating how well Aussies can make a London dry gin style. Modern Australian gins, like Patient Wolf Dry Gin and Ink Gin, use native plants and often exotic botanicals. Patient Wolf has aniseed myrtle and tonka beans while Ink Gin has native lemon myrtle and Tassie pepperberries, as well as exotic blue butterfly pea flower petals.

McHenry Distillery – Classic Dry

An elegant smooth Gin – like a magic carpet ride of the botanicals. Citrus peel is present and balanced with a small amount of star anise, coriander seeds, cardamon and orris root all beautifully balanced with the juniper. This gin is a very popular product at our sales locations.

Patient Wolf Distilling Co Premium Dry Gin

Patient Wolf – signature dry

Bright citrus quickly makes way for a bold, earthy and floral bouquet. On the palate, orris commands whilst coriander seed tingles warmly and finishes with hints of peppercorn spice and fresh juniper.

A powerful gin showing great complexity. It works brilliantly in a G&T with a ruby grapefruit garnish and comes into its own in a negroni and martini.

Husk Distillers Ink Gin

Ink Gin by Husk Distillery

Ink Gin is Australia’s only floral infused gin using a blend of 13 Australian native, exotic & traditional botanicals. Nose: fragrant citrus then fresh pine, coriander, juniper and sweet orange. Taste: Fresh lemon myrtle leads onto subtle pepper berry and citrus notes. The colour is derived from the butterfly pea flower petal and imparts a unique quality, changing from indigo to blush pink when mixed with tonic water, lemon or lime.

Easily sipped on the rocks or in any gin cocktail. Challenge convention.

White Pack

The “white pack” comprises Archie Rose Signature Gin (NSW) whose native botanicals include lemon myrtle, river mint and Dorrigo pepper leaf and Adelaide Hills Distillery 78deg Sunset Gin, which has an evening hue of native strawberry gum, bush apple and rosella. Melbourne Gin Company Dry Gin (Vic) is more classical, still with a touch of Aussie macadamia and honey lemon myrtle. The Abel Gin Co. Essence (Tas) has tea tree blossom amongst other Tassie natives, to give a floral effect.
